Call to all mathematicians to subscribe to the Electronic World Directory of Mathematicians
The Executive Committee of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) decided to discontinue the
publication of the World Directory of Mathematics (WDM) for financial reasons. The Committee on
Electronic Information and Communication (CEIC) has started an initiative to build up an Electronic
World Directory of Mathematicians (EWDM) - based on distributed input and voluntary contributions.
CEIC suggests that each mathematician subcribes herself/himself to the
EWDM. (2004-11-02)

Professional Homepages
Each mathematician should offer a personal homepage on the Web - additionally to her/his subscription
to the EWDM. A standardization of the
content and structure allows enhanced processing of the information by machines. CEIC has developed two
proposals for a Mathematician's Professional Homepage (MPH).
MPHMaker (Mathematician's Professional Homepage Maker) is a
tool to create such a homepage in an easy and intuitive way. (2003-11-02)
